IDC Health Insights: IMS Health Top Five Preferred IT Services Vendor for Life Sciences and a Leader in CRM Solutions

IMS Health (NYSE:IMS) is a top five preferred IT services vendor for life sciences companies, according to a new IDC Health Insights Life Sciences Survey1. The results are from the 1Q15 Leading Indicators in Life Science IT Spending survey, which polled more than 110 industry leaders on which life sciences vendors they plan to spend money with during 2015. This marks the third consecutive year that IMS Health has ranked among the top ten providers.

IMS Health also has been named a CRM solutions Leader in the IDC Marketscape Worldwide Life Science CRM Software 2015 Vendor Assessment2. The IDC MarketScape evaluation cited the ease of use and seamless integration capabilities of Mobile Intelligence™, IMS Health’s life sciences-specific CRM application. Mobile Intelligence, part of the company’s Nexxus™ Commercial Application suite, is pre-integrated with OneKey, the industry-leading customer master data management solution covering 70+ countries. “[Mobile Intelligence] rates among the best available for breadth of functionality, user interface, and functional flexibility, and IMS Health's customers rated it very highly for overall system value,” according to the report.

Together with the IMS One™ cloud platform, Nexxus™ offers clients comprehensive and fully connected applications – from marketing campaign management and social media monitoring to sales operations and performance management. With interoperable apps using the same master data and market information, commercial teams can send the right messages to the right customers at the right time through the right channels. IMS Health solutions enable clients to manage Big Data while providing them with the benefits of a public cloud: low deployment costs, rapid scalability and consistent interfaces.

“We’re very pleased about this recognition from IDC Health and our clients,” said Robert Chu, senior vice president, Technology Solutions, IMS Health. “It acknowledges the strides we continue to make to deploy novel, technology-enabled solutions that drive innovation and results across the total healthcare system.”

More information about IMS Health’s Nexxus Commercial Application Suite can be found on the IMS Health website.
